Dubai Silicon Oasis participates in Gitex Technology Week 2012

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority 'DSOA', the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis 'DSO', the integrated free zone technology park, today announced its 10th participation at Gitex Technology Week 2012.

During the five-day event, the DSO stand at Zabeel Hall 'ZB20' will highlight its hi-tech ecosystem; which is designed for the technology industry, as well as its recently launched incubation center 'Silicon Oasis Founders' that focuses on fostering local entrepreneurial talent in the information technology, internet, ecommerce technology and mobile.

In addition DSO will also highlight its free zone incentives such as: competitive cost of operations, state-of-the-art infrastructure, Tier III data center, advanced IT network, 100% ownership, as well as industry expertise and resources.

Ghanim Al Falasi, Senior VP corporate services at DSOA, said, "Gitex offers an unmatched opportunity for networking to technology leaders across the industry. With all these professionals coming together, the event will draw out a plethora of feasible ideas and potential for future collaboration."

"DSO will leverage its presence at Gitex Technology Week to initiate conversations with technology-based organisations and encourage research and development initiatives to establish base at the fully integrated tech-park. We are positive that Gitex 2012 will help us identify partners and investors with a shared vision," Ghanim added.

The 32nd edition of Gitex will be held from 14 - 16 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together industry leaders, decision makers and professionals from around the world. The 2011 edition gathered around 18,000 C-level executives from 128 countries and secured an average of $1.2m business per order.

A wholly-owned entity of Dubai Government, Dubai Silicon Oasis operates as a free zone technology park for the semiconductor, microelectronic and other high technology-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and R&D facilities in the Middle East and Africa region.
