Dubai SME invites applications for second batch of Entrepreneurship Diploma

Designed to equip entrepreneurs looking to expand their projects with the necessary knowledge and strategies, the diploma programme guides participants through the fundamental principles of business success and leadership.

Entrepreneurs enrolled in the practice-oriented programme learn how to translate their ideas into concrete action plans and involve in all aspects of business development thereby broadening their skills and insights. The second batch will commence on 18 February 2013 with at least 25 entrepreneurs estimated to join.

The Entrepreneurship Diploma is a strong foundation and we will continue to support the graduates by providing them with the latest tools and knowledge as well as assisting them in strategic decision-making required to steer their business towards success."

"According to the feedback received by Dubai SME, the first batch of the diploma has resulted in the launch of many new projects and assisted in bringing a significant amount of professionalism in the local market," added Al Janahi.

The diploma comprises lecture sessions and workshops in which active participation is compulsory. Candidates should attend at least 76 training hours from a total of 96 to be eligible for the diploma. Successful entrepreneurs are invited to share their experiences and candidates receive expert assistance in conceptualising, implementing and marketing their business ideas.

"The Entrepreneurship Diploma is a valuable opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn the basics of business, draft a comprehensive business plan and finalise it with the help of experts in addition to exchange ideas with peers and learn from their experiences," said Safia Al Mansouri, founder and CEO of Sawaed Management Consultancy, Dubai SME's partner in the diploma programme.

For its second batch the Entrepreneurship Diploma has made some notable additions in view of the evolving business landscape in the UAE. The additions include laws and procedures for establishing companies in the UAE; social networking strategies; customer service as an enabler of success; differences between conventional and modern marketing approaches; team-building and effective human resource planning; effective communication and the benefits of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
