Dubai taxi reports higher revenues in 2012

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has said Dubai Taxi Corp (DTC) has witnessed growth in its full-year net profit and operational revenues in 2012, as it lifted 74.5 million passengers in 37 million trips, Khaleej Times has reported. DTC generated Dhs1.093bn operational revenues last year, compared to Dhs1.058bn in 2011, said RTA executive director, Mattar Al Tayer. "Net profits raised by DTC soared from Dhs114.695m in 2010 to Dhs146m in 2011 and went further to hit Dhs214.354m in 2012," Al Tayer said.
