Dubai's Supreme Council of Energy says power capacity sufficient
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, October 04 - 2012 at 08:46
Dubai's Supreme Council of Energy (SEC) has said the current power-generation capacity is sufficient to cater to the rising demand, Khaleej Times has reported. "Currently the power capacity in Dubai is sufficient to meet demand and there is enough capacity of water and electricity in Dubai that can meet the forecasted growth for the near future," said Taher Diab, director of strategy and planning at SEC. "However, energy rationalisation to reduce demand consumption is high on our agenda to sustain the anticipated growth for Dubai and maintain security of supply."
