Eddy Tannous appointed Director of Operations, Fairmont Dubai

Michael Moecking, General Manager, Fairmont Dubai is pleased to announce the appointment of Eddy Tannous as Director of Operations for the Fairmont Dubai.
In this role, Tannous will be responsible for overseeing the 394 room hotel, which includes the day-to-day operations, financial performance and the overall guest experience, as well as re energizing the property's award winning food and beverage portfolio to the community.
Tannous brings over 12 years of Middle Eastern experience to this position, beginning his hospitality career in 2000 as a Health Club Attendant and Personal Trainer at the Beirut Marriott Hotel in Lebanon.
He quickly moved into key management positions at the hotel, including Revenue Analyst and Revenue Manager, and in 2005 he joined the Ritz Carlton Doha, Qatar as Director of Revenue Management.
Shortly thereafter he was promoted to Area Director of Revenue Management, responsible for both sustaining the revenue management programme at the Ritz Carlton Doha in addition to opening the brand's concept hotel property - Sharq Village & Spa - from a revenue generation perspective.
He first joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2007 as Assistant Director of Sales at the Fairmont Dubai, and subsequently moved into executive leadership roles, including Director, Sales & Marketing in 2009 and in 2011 as Director, Rooms, where he was responsible for all room division departments, including front office, housekeeping, guest services, security, engineering, airport operations and the leased apartments and offices within the hotel.
Tannous holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with a concentration in Banking & Finance, and Economics from Notre Dame University in Lebanon.
He replaces Henny Schaeffer, who joins the pre opening team of the Fairmont Ajman (2013) as General Manager.
