The eGovernment Authority participates in Gitex 2012

Standing with its firm belief to increase its presence in international forums and benefit from the latest practices, knowledge and expertise, eGovernment Authority (eGA) gears-up to take part for the sixth time in-a-row in Gitex Technology Week 2012 across the Kingdom of Bahrain pavilion, the event will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 14th to 18th October.

Bahrain's pavilion will embrace various private and public sector institutions within the Kingdom; some of which include the eGovernment Authority (eGA), Economic Development Board (EDB), Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology, Bahrain ICT Suppliers Trade Association (BISTA), along with the ICT committee of Bahrain Chamber for Commerce and Industry, and a host of ICT private business.

Commenting on this occasion, eGovernment Authority Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohamed Al Qaed highlighted the authority's keenness in enhancing its presence within the ICT international events, promoting the country's presence and experience in such vital and vibrant domain especially within the eGovernment field, and keeping-up with the field's latest international developments. He also added that the event will be an opportunity for the authority to demonstrate its experience in the eGovernment arena and take advantage of the advanced innovative technology in the ICT sector.

"Diversity in this year's participation reflects our eagerness to develop partnership between the public and private sectors, as well as institutions of civil society; also promote investment in the ICT industry in such a highly competitive and open environment supported with essential, and well-equipped infrastructure to attract such investments," Al Qaed stated.

"It is an honor to collaborate with eGA, EDB, and Tamkeen whose significant level of support to Bahraini companies willing to exhibit in Gitex is certainly noticeable," declared Gulf Future Business Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ahmed AlHujairi.

"Gitex Technology Week 2012 is an opportunity for ICT experts to meet from all over the world, as it is a platform for sharing experience, entering deals and agreements and gaining access for exhibitors to build new relations, expand a new customer base, have more exposure and awareness to competitive companies within their line of business," stated AlHujairi.

"The exhibition also offers the chance to promote the Kingdom's name and presence - as an ICT hub in the region; as it is capable of familiarizing potential international investors with the investments, regulatory environment and opportunities the country has to offer," he added.

"GITEX is one of the largest industry events in the ICT field at a global level. It is a notable platform to attract the most prestigious names in the sector in order to gain access to the Middle East region," commented AlHujairi.

The participating companies in Bahrain's pavilion manage to attract a wide range of foreign investments, and build important regional and global partnerships.
