- PRESS RELEASE
Anxious to develop and modernize its capabilities and competencies, the eGovernment Authority (eGA) will develop and execute an electronic system for the implementation and development of system management programs and projects, in order to facilitate the operations carried out individually or in collaboration with other entities.
"The eGovernment Authority places great importance into developing a system and working environment for the implementation of projects. It has adopted the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure project management according to the highest standards of competence and within the time specified without exceeding the allocated budget. This confirms the progress of the highly accurate and efficient implemented projects that were accomplished according to assigned time schedules; such projects go in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030's objectives, to improve the quality of services provided by the public sector," said Al-Qaed by further adding that the authority decided to take advantage of private sector expertise in such field in order to enhance the principle of partnership within the sector.
"We are proud to partner with the public sector such as the eGovernment Authority who assigned us to develop and execute a system for the Implementation and Development of System Management Programs and Projects passing through PMO. Through this agreement, we place all of our capabilities to develop and introduce the management information system projects that are integrated and unified, in order to ensure the completion of projects on time," stated Dr. Al-Zayani.
The Implementation and Development of System Management Programs and Projects aim to automate all the operations of eGA's projects management including processes, models and procedures as well as functions covered by the current system of office management. The implementation of the new system will contribute in reducing the need of labor work, effort required to repeat the process, shorten the time of accomplishing major office outputs, and assist in extracting various accurate reports regularly by proceeding programs and projects which will allow PMO to hand it over to concerned parties. Thus, the system will enable the acceleration and implementation of projects.
PMO is one of the most modern developed initiatives in institutions that rely on working with projects in the public and private sectors.
The authority's PMO seek to work on a professional and efficient level in managing projects of the authority, by ensuring that standards, procedures and business processes are competently followed.
In addition to providing consultancy, training and guidance; along with the development of project managers and team leaders who are skilled in their fields.
