Egypt to reconsider ban on new satellite channels

Egypt's investment minister Osama Saleh has said the cabinet is to reconsider its ban on issuing licences for setting up new private satellite channels, Ahram has reported. Saleh requested the cabinet to reassess the ban, active since 2011, saying that private satellite channels and the media are important areas of investment for the country.
