Egypt seeking French funding for third Cairo Metro line

Egyptian transport ministry is in talks with France's Agence Francaise de Développement (AFD) to arrange funding for the €940m third Cairo Metro line, Daily News Egypt has reported. The negotiations will also cover the planning of the project's fourth stage, as well as other transport projects including a new Nile transportation system, a tram running from Heliopolis to New Cairo, and a university-based transportation system running from Cairo University to Six of October city.
