Emaar retreats, Dubai market pushes ahead

The DFM General Index gained 0.20% Tuesday, closing 0.46% higher at 1,938.91 points. Emaar fell 0.18% to Dhs5.64 after the char price chart touched the upper Bollinger band. Union Properties (UPP) lost the most, ending down 2.17% to Dhs0.405. UPP, builder of the DIFC's INDEX Tower and Dubai Motor City share are relatively cheap as the developer' price-to-book value stands at 0.61, according to data compiled by the Dubai bourse, which is lower than the sector's average at 0.68. Some 209m shares were traded valued at Dhs267m.
