Emaar EC awards infrastructure contract

The developer of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah Economic City project, Emaar the Economic City (Emaar EC), has announced the signing of a SR91m contract with the local Al Harbi Contracting for infrastructure works in the city, Zawya Dow Jones has reported. The affiliate of UAE's Emaar Properties said the 365-day contract involves asphalt paving and lighting of roads, in addition to setting up water, sewage, electricity and telecom grids. The contract is part of the first phase of the development of the city's industrial area, the company said.
