Emaar Hospitality Group appoints Josef Kufer as Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Mr Kufer is responsible for the overall operations of the organisation, while working to develop and implement strategies that drive the group's profitability. Spearheading projects within the Emaar Hospitality's subsidiaries, he will also work closely on expanding its five-star premium brand, The Address Hotels + Resorts.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties PJSC, said: "With over 30 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Josef Kufer brings with him strong domain knowledge of the sector to Emaar Hospitality Group. In his new role, he will play a key part in further demonstrating our competencies in offering superior hospitality experiences."

Mr Kufer brings with him invaluable insights on the global hospitality landscape having worked with renowned chains in Germany, New York, Paris, California, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Oman, India, Lebanon, Egypt, and Africa.

He holds a Bachelor's degree from the School of Hotel Administration in Munich Germany, and has attended Cornell for Operations Management, Marketing Strategy and Global Leadership Programmes.
