Emaar to launch sales of new townhouses in Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, April 09 - 2013 at 13:04
Dubai-based Emaar Properties has announced that it will soon begin sales of new residential units at its latest project in the emirate.
Emaar said Reem would be the first gated community in Dubai to include a desert botanical park, camping facilities, sand surfing and camel riding trails, a go-karting track, dune buggies, a rock climbing wall and a skate park.
Anchored by a central park, the development will also feature interactive fountains, walkways and a centrepiece water feature.
The developer said yesterday that it would launch sales of 188 townhouses at its Mira scheme in Reem with prices for three-bedroom town units starting at Dhs988,888 ($269,254).
The units will go on sale at Emaar's Sales Centre in Downtown Dubai on April 13 on a first-come, first-served basis. Buyers are advised to register for the sale at 7am. The homes are scheduled to be completed by 2016.
Emaar Properties managing director Ahmad Al Matrooshi said the development will help meet the growing demand for villas and townhouses in Dubai.
"Reem is inspired by nature, and is envisaged to be a much sought-after community with its promise of a refreshing lifestyle. Mira will be the first of many similar exclusive residential communities to be developed in phases within Reem," he added.
Reem is the latest addition to the portfolio of residential project launches by Emaar in Dubai this year.
It follows overwhelming customer response to the launch of The Address Residence Sky View, The Address Residence Fountain Views I and II and The Address The BLVD, all in Downtown Dubai. Emaar has also launched CASA, a Moroccan-style villa community, as part of its Arabian Ranches extension.
A recent report by Asteco found that prices for villas in Dubai have risen 24% over the past year due to rising demand. The Q1 study revealed that year-on-year villa sales in the Springs grew by 29% to Dhs9,700 per square metre while the Palm Jumeirah remains the most expensive at Dhs20,450 per square metre.
