  • PRESS RELEASE

Emaar Retail LLC, the leisure and entertainment provider, signed an agreement with Dubai Police, establishing a new partnership with KidZania, the award-winning children's 'edutainment' attraction in The Dubai Mall.

As part of the collaboration, Dubai Police will work towards inculcating a sense of civic pride and responsibility by addressing citizens that litter causes traffic incidents or disturbances. Dubai Police's addition to KidZania will be alongside several other authorities/establishments in the mini children's city.

The agreement was signed by Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Retail LLC and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Jasim K. Mirza, Director of Security Awareness Department - General Department of Community Services, in the presence of other senior officials at Dubai Police Headquarters.

To honour the occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Mirza was presented a KidZania plaque, and in celebration of the partnership, Amiri also received a memento from Dubai Police.

Amiri said: "One of our core strategies is to strengthen partnerships with leading public and private entities to provide our young visitors with a holistic understanding of the way cities function professionally. Through our partnership with Dubai Police, KidZania offers a comprehensive view of the role of the police force, instilling in children civic values and responsibilities to support them to evolve as full-rounded and socially responsible individuals."

KidZania provides a safe, unique and very realistic educational environment that allows kids to do what comes naturally to them: role-playing by mimicking traditionally 'adult' activities. Over 80 professions are represented in KidZania by leading establishments providing children with mini offices, a university, fire station, race track, radio station, pizzeria, hospital, bank, theatre, among others, all scaled down to a smaller, child-friendly size. Children dress up in real-life uniforms and perform realistic professional tasks in a fun and meaningful way.
