  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, September 05 - 2012 at 16:42
  • PRESS RELEASE

'Freshplus', continues the enhancement of its position among competitive brand names, as an investor who was granted the franchise rights to the brand name will be opening the eighth 'Freshplus' store in Dubai Customs. This new store comes in line with the strategic plan adopted by the Corporation aiming to strengthen and expand the scope of the 'Freshplus' stores.

"Freshplus" is considered one of the brand names owned by Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat". Other brands include Bakeria for snacks, sandwiches, freshly baked bread, pastries and sweets, and Café Arabicca that serves a wide range of refreshing and rich coffees.

Dr. Rahma bin Mohamed Al Shamsi, Retail Sales Manager at "Emarat", expressed his pride in the success of the "Freshplus" brand and its speedy expansion. He also said, "Freshplus is attracting increasing numbers of investors seeking to obtain its franchise rights."

Dr. Al Shamsi further explained, "Freshplus embodies the Corporation's policy that aims continuously to come up with services that distinguish it from competitive corporations. This is achieved through Emarat's ongoing awareness of its customers' expectations and its commitment to cater to their comfort."

He also said, "What distinguishes "Freshplus" is that it is a qualitative leap in the concept of shopping in a modern and elegant way, in a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere, with a focus on value, quality and great service provided by highly trained employees."

Dr. Al Shamsi added, "The success of the brand relies on its support system, its marketing and advertising strategies, and its operational support. As such, our brand names are strengthened by the fact that they are all under Emarat's umbrella. They all offer wide range of highly appraised services and products, and they are distinct with a strong infrastructure, in addition to the availability of comprehensive operational procedures, training programs, marketing plans and advertising material. Therefore, obtaining franchise rights to Emarat's brand names is considered a feasible and profitable step."

It is worth mentioning that the number of "Freshplus" stores owned by investors who have obtained franchise rights is seven in the UAE and one store in the Sultanate of Oman, owned by a prominent Omani investor who obtained the franchise rights to three brand names in Muscat, namely "Freshplus", Bakeria and Café Arabicca, and is aiming to open a chain for each brand in Oman.

Emarat also manages eight convenience stores which are all independent of the service stations in which they are located. These stores were established in premium sites that serve the largest sector of customers.
