EMC announces its participation in IDC CIO Summit 2013

EMC announced its participation for the 5th straight year at the IDC CIO Summit, which is being held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, UAE. The prominent ICT event will bring together a host of CIOs, CTOs, businesses and IT executives to discuss the latest IT developments and strategies that will help them generate greater business value and agility from their data.

Held under the theme, 'Seize the Moment: Transform, Innovate, and Collaborate', the IDC CIO Summit 2013 will see experts from both EMC and RSA, the security division of EMC highlight emerging technologies that can help technology professionals boost business efficiency and agility.

In EMCs Keynote Rashmi Knowles, Chief Security Architect at RSA, The Security Division of EMC, will discuss how 'Security Analytics Transforms Security', giving organizations the ability to use Big Data Analytics to improve visibility for detection and investigation of threats reduce time taken for threat investigation from days to minutes and Reduce the attacker 'free time' from weeks to hours

In Addition, Sa'di Awienat CTO and Global Services Lead for Gulf, EMC and a Technology visionary with executive and hands-on experience for more than 17 years, will discuss in a CIO roundtable the emergence of IT- As-A-Service models and the choices it brings for CIO's and businesses and how it is becoming a necessity for CIOs today to empower the business with the cost efficiency and agility it is aspiring for.

Mr Awienat will address the many concerns and myths associated with cloud computing technology in the region and how can organizations overcome these concerns to achieve the IT-As-A-Service model.
