EMGAS joins forces with EEG to 'Clean Up UAE'

Emirates Gas LLC (EMGAS), a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) participated for the fourth consecutive year in the 'Clean Up UAE 2012,' campaign organised by Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).

EMGAS sponsored a school each in Dubai and Umm Al Quwain in the campaign, in addition to 25 EMGAS employees volunteering to take part in the initiative.

Now in its 11th edition, 'Clean Up UAE' campaign, on 12.12.12, was aimed at bringing together different sectors of the community to raise awareness on environmental issues, with a focus on waste management.

Hesham Ali Mustafa, Senior Director, ENOC Gas Marketing & General Manager - Emirates Gas LLC, said: "Environmental care is the need of the hour globally and I feel every corporate member of our society should be part of this campaign. Supporting and participating in "Clean Up UAE" campaign is in line with our CSR Policy and we are delighted to take part and contribute to the welfare of the community."

Last year, more than 27,000 participants joined hands in the massive cleanup operation at 110 sites all over the country. EEG continuously encourages academic institutions, organisations and individuals to support the initiative.

For over 38 years, EMGAS has been the leading supplier of LP Gas products and services. EMGAS has undertaken several concerted initiatives to promote a culture of 'green energy,' and introduced a range of products that help reduce energy consumption and carbon emission.
