Eminem confirms to close Yasalam After-Race concerts

Now in its fourth year, the Sunday finale concert has become a landmark event for Abu Dhabi and a fitting finish to one of the most eagerly awaited sporting events in the region.

Eminem is one of the most popular artists in the world, selling more than 90 million albums worldwide and being recognized as the best-selling artist of the 2000's. The multi-talented star has achieved success as a rapper, record producer, songwriter and actor.

He was the first rapper to win an Academy Award (for Best Original Song), adding to his 13 Grammys. His last album, Recovery, was the best-selling album of the year in 2010 and became his tenth album to reach Number 1 on the Billboard charts. His chart-topping singles include Lose Yourself, The Real Slim Shady, Not Afraid and Love the Way You Lie.

The Yasalam After-Race Concerts are staged at the du Arena, Yas Island, exclusively for F1 ticket holders. Race tickets include the Y1 Access package, which gives value-added benefits during the race weekend, including access to all three Yasalam After-Race Concerts, as well as exclusive live concert ticket discounts running throughout the year.

The After-Race Concerts are part of Live on Yas Island, one of the three pillars of Yasalam, the largest city-wide entertainment programme by any F1™ host city, anywhere in the world. Abu Dhabi's biggest celebration of the year offers unrivaled entertainment, thrilling events and exclusive concerts for tens of thousands to enjoy across the city.

Full details of the whole Yasalam programme, including Live Across the City, Live on the Corniche and Live on Yas Island, will be announced on Tuesday 18th September.

In a change to previous years, 2012 race-goers will need to visit Yas Marina Circuit each day to collect their concert wristband, to get access to the Yasalam After-Race Concerts.

Each day of the race, 2,000 Golden Circle upgrades for that night's concert will be given away free at Yas Marina Circuit. In addition, the new '2 Friends Friday' promotion means the first 15,000 domestic F1 ticket buyers receive a pair of complimentary invitations to see Kylie Minogue on Friday 2nd November.

For those wanting to keep the party atmosphere going after the Yasalam After-Race Concerts, SKYBAR Abu Dhabi is returning in 2012, running from 1st - 4th November at the du Forum, Yas Island.

First launched in 2010, Skybar Abu Dhabi 2012 is the Only Official Party for the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. It has become one of the most popular club bar experience of the year for party people across the region coming into Abu Dhabi to enjoy the motorsport celebrations.

Ticket holders for the F1 race weekend will receive the privilege of 20% discount off all General Admission standing tickets for Skybar Abu Dhabi, through the Y1 Access benefits package.
