- PRESS RELEASE
The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature has opened its doors to keen volunteers to be part of the much-anticipated Festival.
If volunteering isn't an option you can still do your bit in the nicest possible way. Treat yourself to Festival Friends membership and why not give the membership to a friend too? A year's membership of Festival Friends provides an enhanced experience at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature and adds more value too with priority purchase and savings on tickets, reserved seating, and access to our Friends' Lounge where you can relax between sessions with complimentary tea, coffee and snacks. Premium and Plus Membership also entitles you to a range of additional benefits including two tickets to the Opening Night. Festival Friends can buy tickets on 14 January rather than waiting until 21 January, helping to ensure you get into the best sessions before they sell out.
"We're privileged to have a wonderful team of volunteers who work with us every year. They make a great contribution to the Festival's success and we could not manage without them," commented Festival Director, Isobel Abulhoul OBE, "Volunteering with the Festival offers a great opportunity for anyone seeking hands-on experience at a world class event that attracts authors and visitors from all over the globe."
If you are interested in volunteering, there are two drop in sessions at the Festival's home, Dar Al Adaab, in Al Fahidi Historic Area on.
With over 100 authors attending and some 150 sessions, the 2013 Festival takes place 5-9 March 2013 in Dubai under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and in partnership with Emirates airline and the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated Authority for culture, arts and heritage.
