Emirates NBD appoints new Group Treasurer

Emirates NBD, the leading banking Group in the region, announced the appointment of Aazar Ali Khwaja as new Group Treasurer.
Prior to joining Emirates NBD, Aazar was the Regional Treasurer for Emerging Markets/Africa with Barclays Bank Plc, during which he also served as Chairman of the Regional Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO).
Rick Pudner added: "Aazar's wealth of experience, across a number of geographies, will further add to the bank's drive for success and I am confident that he will lead Emirates NBD's Treasury team to successfully implement the Group's strategies and achieve our objectives".
Aazar's previous roles also included MD and Head of Fixed Income Currency and Commodities in Citigroup Inc.'s Central and Eastern European division, Group Treasurer for Saudi Hollandi (ABN Amro) Bank in Saudi Arabia, MD Treasury for ABN Amro/K&H Bank in Hungary, GM Treasury for ABN Amro in Romania, as well as Country Treasurer for Citibank NA in Pakistan.
Aazar, Emirates NBD new Group Treasurer said: "I am delighted to join Emirates NBD and I look forward to being part of the Bank's management team".
