Empower hails Dubai winning bid to host International Forum for Engineering Education 2014

Empower, the biggest district cooling company in the Middle East, has complemented Dubai on winning the bid to host the International Forum for Engineering Education from December 3 to 6, 2014.
Bin Shafar added that the win will boost the efforts made the UAE government to enhance the engineering sector in the country in collaboration with the private sector.
Bin Shafar said the private sector has a key role to boost the engagement of UAE nationals in engineering careers, be they architecture, civil, electronic, mechanical or IT.
Empower has a strategy in place to presence of UAE manpower in its operations, based on its belief that the engineering industry is the backbone of the infrastructure, communications, civil and transport in any country of the world.
Dubai will organize this world class forum under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as a collaborative effort between Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM), AUD and UAE Society of Engineers. It is expected that more than 1500 delegates will attend the forum from different countries across the world.
Bin Shafar added, "The presence of specialized and influential attendees at the forum will give a shot in the arm to the engineering industry not only in the UAE but also to the region, by bringing latest engineering teaching practices that are being followed in the rest of the world."
Bin Shafar said that the UAE Society of Engineers is putting huge efforts in encouraging the engagement of UAE engineers in engineering projects in the country. Empower too supports these efforts and is constantly looking into ways of maximizing Emirati manpower in the company.
Empower's operations require a wide range of engineers from the electro-mechanics, civil, communications and IT fields.
