Enec to provide EENG with 5,600 MW of electricity from nuclear energy by 2021

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corp (Enec) has announced it is to supply the Emirates Electric National Grid (EENG) with around 5,600 megawatts (MW) of low-carbon electricity by 2020, when work is completed on four of its nuclear plants, Kuna has reported. The project would reduce carbon emissions in the country by 12 million tonnes annually, the chief executive of Enec, Mohamed Al-Hammadi, said on the sidelines of the World Energy Forum 2012.
