Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) honoured 15 suppliers, selected from over 154 shortlisted companies, for their outstanding performance and contribution to strengthening ENOC's operational efficiencies during 2012, at the Strategic Suppliers Recognition Award ceremony held at InterContinental Festival City, Dubai. The winners were honoured with gold, silver and bronze awards.
Saeed Khoory, Chief Executive Officer of ENOC, said: "One of the core values of ENOC, in achieving our growth objectives, is 'Team Work,' not only internally but with our external stakeholders. We believe in mutual trust and respect, and our aim is to build on long-term partnerships based on our core values."
Abdulsalam Al Hammadi, Director - Procurement & Contracts of ENOC, said: "The Strategic Suppliers Recognition Award ceremony strengthens relations with our suppliers further and is part of our commitment to building reliable and sustainable partnerships. The 15 suppliers honoured were selected from 154 short-listed organisations out of a total about 1,500 active suppliers last year. The process to identify the winners was not easy, and I congratulate them, and thank all our suppliers for their immense support. Our previous experience in organising the event has been extremely fruitful and it served as an excellent networking opportunity for all stakeholders."
Al Hammadi said that the ceremony reflected the mission of ENOC's Procurement & Contracts Department "to provide value-added procurement services that significantly contribute to achieving ENOC's strategic objectives, while maintaining reliable and sustainable partnership with all stakeholders."
The Department holds an ISO certification from LRQA for its quality management system, and handles the procurement of all 18 of ENOC's wholly owned companies and JVs in addition to 10 corporate departments.
