  • PRESS RELEASE

In line with the 'Union Tree' initiative announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) planted a Union Tree today at the ENOC Headquarters.

The planting of the Union Tree, led by Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC's Chief Executive Officer, in the presence of a number of senior executives of the company, marks the company-wide event preparations for the 41st UAE National Day celebration.

"Our participation in the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to highlight the spirit of the Union, follows our company commitment to strengthening UAE's solidarity and underlining the national identity," said Khoory. "ENOC is committed to preserving a healthy environment to provide more opportunities for citizens especially for our future generation."

The Union Tree initiative is aimed at consolidating the spirit of national solidarity and love for the country. The tree symbolises the strong union among seven emirates and reflects the love and loyalty for the country. All households and citizens are encouraged to participate in this campaign.

Every year, ENOC celebrates UAE National Day with an array of traditional and heritage activities. Last year, the company held a one-month celebration with competitions, traditional Yola dancing and a skit on traditional methods of education, among others.
