Ericsson supports young Saudi talent at Dar Al-Hekma College career day

In an effort to support young talent in Saudi Arabia, Ericsson recently participated in the Dar Al-Hekma Career Day, an event organized by Dar Al-Hekma College which allows students to engage with leading organizations who could potentially become their future employers.

Held at the Dar Al-Hekma College Campus in Jeddah on March 3rd and 4th, the two day event successfully united experienced professionals, college students and entry-level job seekers with experts from various industries including the ICT industry.

In order to further its engagement with future industry leaders, Ericsson spoke to students about the current ICT market landscape and discussed potential employment opportunities, highlighting the industry's need for a continuous influx of young talent.

During the event, Ericsson executives were also able to provide graduate students with quality counseling on professional development.

"Our industry is continuously growing, and this growth is very dependent on young talent who work to make our services and solutions innovative and flexible, enabling a truly Networked Society," said Ali Eid, President of Ericsson, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"We firmly believe that the future leaders of our industry are amongst the young Saudi talent we have the pleasure of meeting at events such as the Dar Al-Hekma Career Day, and we are committed to leveraging every available opportunity to continuously engage with them," he added.

Now in it's eighth year, the Dar Al-Hekma Career Day bore the tagline 'Your Flight to the Future', and the first day was dedicated to a recruitment fair at the college that featured a number of large companies. The event provided an excellent platform for students to interact with future employers and explore professional experience opportunities.
