Etihad commissions Brookfield Multiplex to expand training academy

Etihad Airways has selected UK-based contracting and development company Brookfield Multiplex to build an extension to the carrier's training academy in Abu Dhabi, the Construction Index has reported. To be built by Brookfield Multiplex Middle East + Asia, the extension will house six flight simulator training bays, classrooms for pilot and cabin crew training, pilots' briefing and debriefing rooms, a new pilots' lounge and offices. The project is slated for completion in November 2013.
