Jet Airways is the front-runner for an investment by Etihad Airways, which could pay up to $330m for a 24% stake in the Indian carrier, Reuters has reported, citing a senior Indian government source. A deal is likely in the next 10 days, the government official, who declined to be named as he is not authorised to speak to the media on deals between companies, told reporters. "From what I understand, they were talking about 1,500 crore to 1,800 crore (15-18 billion rupees) for 24%," the official said.
