Etisalat and Ericsson partner to provide quality network and services to subscribers in Egypt

Ericsson announced a new agreement with Etisalat Egypt to transform the telecom operator's radio network to enable a full range of converged information and telecom services that will bring improved quality and speed of services to its subscribers.
This will enable energy-efficient and cost-effective operations while allowing the operator to meet the demands of its growing subscriber base with better and faster mobile internet connectivity and quality mobile coverage throughout the country.
What's more, it will enable Etisalat Egypt to prepare the network for LTE (4G).
Saeed ElHamly, CEO, Etisalat Egypt, said, "Demand for voice and data services is constantly increasing. This is why we are always striving to cater to our subscribers' needs by continuously upgrading our network and adopting the latest technology."
Haitham AbdulRazzak, CTO, Etisalat Egypt, said, "Etisalat Misr keeps its commitment in maintaining technology and broadband leadership and will continue investing in solutions and products that will enhance service experience for consumers and enterprises."
As a multi-standard base station, the RBS 6000 will not only minimize Etisalat Egypt's operational expenses and reduce environmental impact but will also ensure smooth transitions and upgrades to new technologies in the future. Deployment of the latest Ericsson technology will also allow for the development of new, high-speed mobile broadband services and web applications.
