Etisalat revises telegram service charges

Etisalat announced the revision of its telegram service charges bringing it in line with current industry standards. Etisalat's telegram service was launched in 1992, allowing users to send a written or verbally dictated message for delivery to destinations around the world. The new prices will be effective from 18 January 2013.

Etisalat's telegram service is a quick and convenient service in which a telegram message is transmitted to the destination office where the delivery is arranged for the recipient.

Etisalat's telegram service is a significant mode of communication for Governments, VIP's as well as residents of the UAE, whereby telegrams are mainly used for official, documented notifications and messages.

It is also widely used to notify recipients of important events, convey greetings or condolences and so on.

Telegram service is available in the Australia, Canada, Japan, UK, USA, Sweden, several European countries as well as Arab states. Etisalat's new fixed and per-word rates for the service are one the most competitive charges in the world.

Customers can use Etisalat's telegram service by simply calling '131' to give their message and destination for the delivery of the telegram. The telegram charge will be added to customers' fixed-line phone, eLife or postpaid mobile account. Alternatively, customers including Wasel account holders can pay for the service in cash.
