Etisalat signs exclusive service agreement with Dubai Taxi

Etisalat signed an agreement with Dubai Taxi Corporation, part of Road and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA) to provide the transport company an attractive Wasel prepaid offering for its 8000 plus taxi drivers.
As part of the agreement, Etisalat will offer attractive, customised Wasel prepaid tariffs to employees of Dubai Taxi Corporation for calling within the company and for making external calls. In addition, international calls to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will be charged at special, rock-bottomrates on a per-second basis. Under the agreement, Etisalat will offer FREE Waselsubscriptions for all employees of Dubai Taxi and a FREE initial credit of Dh10 to be used on national and international calls.
Commenting at the signing ceremony, Abdulla Al Manesaid, "As a tourist hub, the transport network in Dubai forms an integral part of the city's tourism framework. We are thrilled to partner with the biggest fleet of taxis in the UAE to provide them with our reliable, nationwide 3G connectivity while they are onthe go throughout the day. The new exclusive tariffs allow unlimited phone calls and facilitate continuous and smooth coordination between the company's taxi drivers, its contact centre and customers from across the city anytime, anywhere."
DrYousef Al Ali commented, "Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) seeks to provide the best service, comfort and entertainment for a workforce of more than 8000 taxi drivers constituting up to 31 different nationalities. The driversare assigned to work in shifts for different DTC services in order to increase their overall performance, which is positively reflected in the excellence of transport service they provide to the public."
