Teaching can open doors to fascinating new cultures and countries - not just for the teacher but their learners too. Teachers not only foster creativity but also provide a lens to their learners with which they can view the world and develop their skills to their maximum potential.
Eton Institute, the UAE's largest training institute, conducts TESOL and TFL certificate courses leading to an ACE (Access Certificate in English) qualification accredited by the UK's City and Guilds.
The 120 hour intensive course is entirely class-room based and involves attending classes at the institute over a duration of 6 weeks. It covers an in-depth syllabus for language teaching and focuses on lesson planning and practical teaching skills, which will equip those who are new to the profession and inspire those who already have some experience, providing them with the tools to deliver quality lessons to their students.
"Teachers are often challenged to transform educational outcomes and equip students with competencies for the changing world. But the real challenge is to equip teachers with effective teaching skills for the 21st century. Our courses provide an ongoing professional development to teachers to not only compete with international standards but also surpass them," commented Sue Brett, Head of Academic Studies at Eton Institute.
The teacher training courses are available at both Abu Dhabi and Dubai branches of Eton Institute and the free demos are available regularly for those who are interested in taking the TESOL or TFL certificate courses.
