- PRESS RELEASE
On 8 April 2013, Euromoney Conferences will be in Kuwait for a day-long strategy forum under the theme of 'Financial Sustainability, Regulatory Capacity-the Challenge of Change'.
The panel discussions will analyse areas such as balance sheet management, sources of funding, sukuk issuance, the role of international business and Kuwait's position in the region.
Euromoney will be joined by senior Kuwaiti financiers and international investors - along with co-hosts, the Ministry of Finance of the State of Kuwait.
The event will be opened by H.E. Mr. Mustafa Al-Shimali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, State of Kuwait, and H.E. Dr. Mohammad Y. Al-Hashel, Governor, Central Bank of Kuwait. It will also feature contributions from leading financiers, investors, and international businesses working in Kuwait.
"We're pleased to be back in Kuwait," said Richard Banks, Director of Emerging Markets for Euromoney Conferences. "We believe our proposition this year is more relevant than ever - the conference will discuss in depth the challenges faced by Kuwait, how it might and can change and conduct our annual review on the Kuwait economy."
He added, "We will consider the state of the financial markets, macro-economic strategy and pivotal risk points. We'll bring together local players with global thinkers for a focused one-day event which will define the agenda for the coming year. It's the only event of its type in Kuwait this year."
This year's Kuwait Conference combines Euromoney's unique perspective on global events with an in-depth financial analysis of the State of Kuwait. We will look at how and where Kuwait and its international partners can make meaningful decisions to create financial sustainability for the future.
