- PRESS RELEASE
2013 is the year of experimentation for event people! In a long list of global Event Camps and the first for 2013 - Event Camp Middle East is set to take place in Abu Dhabi at GIBTM and online simultaneously around the world. Event Camp is part of an international movement, spreading like a shamal across the desert! Event Camps were established to connect event professionals with the latest and greatest trends in the event world.
Carrying on from the success of ECME12 in Dubai and Bahrain last year; Industry thought leaders ShowGizmo, eTouches, PlanetPlanit, Saville AV and Sonic Foundry have teamed up to produce another Event Camp as part of their commitment to the industry and to learning what's out there and coming next - locally and internationally.
'We have a great line up of eight expert speakers from around the world, leading debates and posing questions to the audience on topics like social media, hybrid events, mobile apps and event marketing," Josh says.
The speakers will have an allocated 30minute slot in which to inspire, poll the audience, communicate with the remote attendees via a live stream, the event app and live twitter wall. The intention is to successfully display a hybrid event in action.
Expecting more than 50 #eventprofs in the room in Abu Dhabi and a virtual audience of hundreds, the event organisers have kept the ticket price to FREE meeting the values of GIBTM. Participation online is also FREE for anyone interested and can be accessed by simply logging on to the site on the 25th and 26th March.
'We want this event to be accessible to every event professional worldwide and get some amazing conversations happening that will fuel event and technology design in 2013 and beyond,' Josh says.
A fully sponsored industry event ECME is open to anyone wanting to get involved with the movement! #ECME13 has partnered with GIBTM so all attendees have the chance to participate in this 'hybrid' event first hand in Abu Dhabi or online.
