Event Description

The conference is designed to bring educators and Learning Technology experts to share their views on the best ways to prepare university students for a world driven by technological innovations. This conference is amongst the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East. It will cover subjects ranging from reforming the mathematics undergraduate curriculum to introducing learning technologies into the classroom and their effects on both undergraduate and graduate education. The International Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to participate in the unfolding of this exciting event. At least 10 keynote speakers have been invited to speak and share their experience with mathematics curriculum reform, technology implementation, and solutions their institutes created to face the e-learning challenge. The conference will also offer three training workshops on WeBWork, DoStat, Mathematics for Business Decisions, and Mathematica. There will be contributed paper and poster sessions where educators and researchers can share their findings and experiences. We strongly encourage graduate students of Mathematics and Statistics and young mathematicians, as well as high school teachers from the Middle East to attend and present their findings in this meeting. Support for some of the participants may be available pending the availability of funds.

This conference will also serve as a starting point for concrete programs for collaboration among all education institutions and partners in the region.
