Health Facilities Infrastructure Saudi Arabia 2012
Event Description
The total investment is expected to reach US $23.4 billion this year with the private sector spending accounting for almost 25% of the total.
An increase in the number of patients over 65; an expanding population; and a number of rapidly growing diseases are contributing to the strain on the existing healthcare services for residents within the Kingdom.
The requirement to commission and construct state-of-the-art medical cities; develop sophisticated biomedical equipment and form international collaborations, has resulted in the transition to a mixed healthcare system. Therefore, the government will provide healthcare services to the military and low-income residents and a variety of private healthcare options will become available to the remaining population.
US $4.3 billion has been allocated for five medical cities throughout the Kingdom, with the remaining budget assigned for 130 hospitals, in construction, resulting in 28,470 more beds, in addition to 17 new hospitals and primary care centres. In order to explore and examine the design, integration and investment within this rapidly progressing market, IQPC have developed the 2nd Annual Health Facilities Infrastructure Saudi Arabia. This is the Kingdom's leading event for meeting public and private healthcare decision-makers!
