8th ICAN: Gastroenterology Update (International Conference of Al Noor Hospital)

This year's topic will be focused on The Gastroenterology system as a general topic, with branching lectures around gastric banding, diabetes, colorectal cancer, hepatobiliary, pancreatic and esophageal disorders, etc. It will also cover different aspects such as screening, diagnosis, medication protocols, minimally invasive as well as traditional surgical treatment and the prognosis and post-care of GIT disorders. The conference is scheduled to be held on 14 & 15 March 2013 in Abu Dhabi, and has been accredited by the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi for 12.5 category 1 CME hours. Objectives:
Contrast the association between H. Pylori Infection and colon and other gastric cancers.
Critically evaluate various Gastrointestinal Cases in the ER.
Discuss research on gastrointestinal disorders including, Colonic Polyps, Celiac Hepatitis, Diverticulitis and Hiatal Hernia.
Assess the standards for the screening and management of regional health issues: Colorectal Cancer, Obesity, and DM2.
