Expats' remittances from Qatar reached $13bn last year

Qatar's central bank has said the total of remittances by expats working in the country jumped last year to QR47.5bn ($13bn) from QR37.4bn ($10.24bn) in 2010, with India topping the list of 10 largest recipient countries, the Peninsula has reported. The Philippines trailed India on the list as the second largest recipient of money transfers, followed by the US, Egypt and the UAE.
