eXtra says Q3 net profit up 7.5%

Saudi-based consumer electronics and home appliance retailer, United Electronics Co (eXtra) has said its net profit for the third quarter rose 7.5% to SR28.4m from SR26.4m in the same period last year, Saudi Gazette has reported. Net profit during the nine months of 2012 climbed 10.6% to an estimated SR100.5m, compared with SR90.9m for the same period last year. "The positive impact of our aggressive expansion strategy, which has seen eXtra's kingdom-wide branch network grow by more than a third in just one year, continues to be reflected in our financial results," said the chairman of eXtra, Abdullah Abdulatif Al Fozan.
