eXtra's net profit jump 20%

Saudi consumer electronics and home appliance retailer United Electronics Co (eXtra) has said its total sales for 2012 grew 22.5% year-on-year to SR3bn, Saudi Gazette has reported. Net profit for the year jumped 20.1% to SR158.6m, compared with 2011. For the 12 months ending December 31, 2012, eXtra reported an operating profit of SR163.5m, up 20.2% over the previous year. On January 3, 2013, eXtra expanded launched operations in Bahrain, its first store outside Saudi Arabia.
