Ferrari World Abu Dhabi revs up the excitement as 1 fever descends on the UAE capital. From October 26th to November 4th, the second edition of Speed Week promises 10 days of speed-driven entertainment at the world's only Ferrari-inspired theme park.

Coinciding with Eid Al Adha and the 2012 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Speed Week will this year be brought to life under the theme 'The Science of Speed' with a host of exciting activities for the entire family.

Speed Week 2012 will also feature the 8th F1 in Schools World Finals, as students from more than 40 countries around the world battle it out for the championship title in this creative challenge.

"With all the visitors to the UAE over the Eid holidays and the F1 race weekend, we were very keen to offer something special that would enrich the Park experience and create a thrilling atmosphere for families and F1 Fans alike. Speed Week was a great success last year and we are definitely shifting into an even higher gear with this year's entertainment offering," said Andy Keeling, Park Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

The F1 fever at the Park will echo that on the neighbouring Yas Marina race track with guests visiting Ferrari World Abu Dhabi during Speed Week being greeted by a squad of entertainers from the moment they step in.

A buzz of cheerful energy will reverberate all around the Park with themed parades of dancers, acrobats and musicians, 'Mad Scientists' and comic characters surprising guests with magic tricks, a Speed Painter creating race-inspired art, a real Ferrari GT roaring through the Park and speed skaters keeping visitors spellbound with gravity-defying stunts.

Fun Speed Week highlights also include highly energetic performances of an outstanding Speed of Sound show - an ensemble dance set to fast-paced drumming - that will take place four times a day.

Plenty more activities will also be available to keep the kids entertained including interactive shows such as the Science Lab, where children will be able to participate in fun speed-related experiments. Children can also head to Speed Week's arts and crafts zone, Science Camp, for parachute, hot wire and colour-based experiments as well as face-painting, airbrush tattoos and other fun activities.

There's more excitement in store for kids at the special Speed Week Studio, where they can play the role of reporters and presenters live onscreen. After their personal piece-to-camera, the completed reels can be taken home as a souvenir.

From October 29th to 31st, visitors will be able to catch live racing action as teams of students from around the world battle it out at the 8th F1 in Schools World Finals, co-hosted in Abu Dhabi by Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Marina Circuit. Student teams will race miniature race cars that they have self-designed and manufactured, in a series of competitive track competitions.

Participating teams will also be able to demonstrate their incredible engineering and team marketing efforts at special stalls set up across the Park during the three-day event. With 20 Ferrari-themed rides and attractions brought together in one spectacularly-designed air-conditioned space, the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi offers something for every member of the family.

From state-of-the-art multi-sensory attractions such as Driving with the Champion and Speed of Magic, to truly spine-tingling rides such as G-Force and Formula Rossa, toddler-friendly attractions like Junior Training Camp, themed restaurants and the world's largest Ferrari boutique, it isn't hard to see why Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is the region's premier family entertainment centre.
