The fifth edition of the Science Days launched at the Beirut Hippodrome

Placing a spotlight on the importance of building a more challenged educational and scientific level, the "Science Days" (Ayam Al Ouloum) comes back, for the fifth consecutive year at the Beirut Hippodrome.

Launched under the auspices of the Lebanese Minister of Culture Mr. Gaby Layoun, the three-day event was attended by international organizations, the municipality of Geneva and Beirut, and a large number of educational institutions to share and express the benefits of science in our community.

The comprehensive program will showcase the high caliber of science that exists in Lebanon and features presentations by universities, schools, associations and museums.

The event will feature 88 new projects, applications of scientific research and present the necessity of various approaches to scientific experiments.

"In this fifth edition for Ayam Al Ouloum we rest assured that science development and evolution remains a main constant factor in the Universe. Ayam Al Ouloum portrays the relationship between knowledge and science to enhance our community's lifestyle." stated Mr. Gaby Layoun Lebanese Minister of Culture.

"The event not only makes science enjoyable and fun but teaches us the important concepts related to chemistry, biology, genetics, and other fields of science," he added.

"Science Days 2012" will include a wider variety of participants compared to the previous year, which will help visitors to enjoy more dedicated sectors in science, and discovering their importance as a fundamental tool in our daily life.

"Through its activities, Ayam Al Ouloum aims to fortify and expand the relationships between the various age groups of our community, whether it be scientists, students, families, schools, organizations, individuals and much more," said Malek El Khoury, Vice President of Ayam Al Ouloum committee.

"The event will highlight the educational sector and its capacities in Lebanon."

Through the dedicated stands participants will encourage visitors to increase their appetite for knowledge while creating curiosity to provide the visitors with a one of a kind experience.

Life science and health, environment and biodiversity, Inventions, physics, technology and computer science are themes that will be examined at "Ayam Al Ouloum" on October 18, 19 and 20, from 3:00 PM to 09:00 PM.
