National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) was incorporated in Kuwait in 1952 as a public shareholding company and was the first national bank to be established in the GCC. NBK is the largest financial institution in Kuwait.

It operates through a network of subsidiaries, affiliates, branches and representative offices in Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, New York, London, Paris, Geneva, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

In addition, NBK is in the process of opening branches in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The bank enjoys strong brand equity in the Middle East and is a market leader in its retail, corporate and investment banking divisions.

Furthermore, NBK is active in the field of asset management services. The bank has received the highest credit rating awarded to any bank in the region by international rating agencies including Moody's, Fitch and S&P.
