The origins of Banque Audi s.a.l. are rooted in Sidon, South Lebanon, where Hanna Audi inherited his father's foreign exchange business in 1930. In 1938 the first branch of the Bank was incorporated under its present form, while its shareholder base was opened up to Lebanese and Arab nationals.

The group decided to expand overseas in the 70's by establishing sister banks in Switzerland, France, Luxembourg and the USA.Banque Audi has recently entered a new era of expansion and modernization in all facets of commercial banking, private banking, investment banking and retail banking.

The Bank's strategy rests on upgrading commercial banking to more efficient quality service, developing retail and corporate banking, expanding investment banking and building up regional private banking.

Such a strategy required a significant extension of the bank's local branch network and the development of its information technology and human capital.
