Profile and Background
Qatar Leisure & Tourism Development Company (QLTDC) was established in 1990 as a shareholding company to implement an amusement park project and to establish tourism and leisure projects in different areas of the country.
The company's main project to date has been the Aladdin's Kingdom amusement park which is located on the coast north of the West Bay area. The park opened in September 1997. The centre is outdoor and the extreme heat of the Qatari climate for most of the year combined with the small size of the market of the leisure market have meant that the venture has struggled and the company was delisted during H1 03.
