Established in 1996, the National Company for Tourism and Hotels operates under the national law for hotel investments. After receiving the authorization to work in the Tourism industry the company bought Abu Dhabi Intercontinental Hotel, Al-Ain Intercontinental Hotel and Al Thafra Coast Hotel.

The company also works on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Government in managing a hotel based in Abu Dhabi through food and beverage supply.
