Flydubai Cargo launches operations in Kuwait

Flydubai, Dubai's low-cost airline, has announced the launch of Flydubai Cargo in Kuwait providing an affordable and convenient outbound cargo service in addition to the existing inbound service.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, said: "Kuwait is an important market for Flydubai and the start of our cargo operations provides a convenient and on time service for local businesses. Flydubai aims to make shipments more affordable with free online tracking and is the only cargo operator offering electronic air waybills helping to keep costs down for our customers. We have already seen strong demand for our cargo services and look forward to further strengthening business links between Kuwait and the UAE through this new service."
Flydubai Cargo, which started operations on 01 January 2012, transports a range of goods including; perishable items, textiles, electronics, courier items, pharmaceuticals and general cargo. Among the most in demand shipments from Kuwait are courier services to the UAE, personal effects sent to India, Nepal and Bangladesh and beyond Flydubai's network to the UK and US. Inbound shipments include perishable items such as fruit, vegetables, fish and electronic goods. Goods travelling on Flydubai flights can be connected in as little as one hour of arrival in Dubai. Meanwhile, it takes from eight hours to transfer shipments carried by interline partners.
