- PRESS RELEASE
Flydubai, Dubai's innovative low-cost airline, is introducing two additional flights to Sana'a, the capital of Yemen, from 28 October 2012.
Flight FZ095 will depart Dubai Terminal 2 at 2100hrs, landing at El Rahaba Airport (Sana'a International) at 2250hrs local time. The return flight, FZ096, leaves at 2335hrs, arriving in Dubai at 0310hrs the following day.
Sana'a is one of Flydubai's most recently established routes having joined its network in April this year - the carrier's fifth launch in 2012. The additional flights are in direct response to strong passenger demand and will further boost trade and tourism between the two countries.
"We are delighted to add more flights to further strengthen our operations to Sana'a and we are deeply grateful to the Yemeni authorities for their ongoing support. Flydubai's low-cost direct connection will continue to provide travellers with an easy link to Sana'a, in turn driving tourism and investment to this historically-rich and culturally-vibrant city.
According to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the total volume of trade between Yemen and UAE reached $687m in 2011. The launch of Flydubai's cargo services to Sana'a, which took place earlier this year in parallel to its commercial passenger flights, is set to play an important role in growing this multi-billion dollar trade relationship.
