First year of profit for Flydubai and a possible fleet of 100 aircraft

Audio: HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, Flydubai announced that the airline recorded its first full year of profits in 2012. Phil Blizzard reports on the results and speaks to Ghaith al Ghaith, CEO, Flydubai about the financial results and the possible order of a further 50 aircraft, which if agreed upon will take their fleet to 100.

Flydubai has a fleet of 28 Boeing 787 aircraft with confirmed orders for 50. During 2013 the airline can expect 6 more aircraft to serve their rapidly expanding network which will see Multan and Sialkot in Pakistan coming on stream in March. Malé in the Maldives and Ha'il in Saudi Arabia have joined Flydubai's network earlier in 2013.
