International media reports have continued to predict the demise of the 'Dubai Dream' over the past few weeks, despite the fact that reports by analysts, including a real estate-specific one from Jones Lang Lasalle, show that the region's markets are likely to witness a resurgence from the downturn far sooner than other markets.

As a result of this, virtually every company in Europe and the US offers a pension scheme for its employees.

Saudi Arabia's total tourism income in 2008 was SR78.5bn. The primary beneficiaries of this were the food services sector, which had the largest portion of this income, of 42.4%, followed by the transport sector with 35.2%, the accommodation sector with 16.3%, with travel agencies at 1.5% and finally the entertainment sector with 4.6%.
