- PRESS RELEASE
Zubair Automotive Group (ZAG) and the newly launched FOTON truck brand organised an intensive 4-day service training program for technicians in Muscat, from January 12 to 16, 2013.
Commenting on the inaugural FOTON training program, Mohamed Hubais, General Manager Commercial Group said, "Our customers depend on the assured reliability of a FOTON truck for business every day of the year. The advanced onboard technologies and integrated vehicle design of FOTON trucks offer maximum reliability and use the very latest in proven technologies. Expert FOTON technicians and skilled aftermarket personnel are vitally important to the success of our customers and our dealer operations. To that end, well structured and professional training programs such as these are invaluable."
The training workshop was attended by technicians from the Muscat, Salalah, Nizwa and Sohar region. The primary objective of the training program was to provide the attendees with an in-depth introduction of the FOTON brand of vehicles and to enhance and improve the maintenance technology level and service abilities of FOTON technicians at Zubair Automotive Group.
Covered in the workshop was an introduction to FOTON engines and advanced technical training courses focusing on structural principles as well as diagnostic analysis of the vehicle's electrical systems.
The breadth and depth of the training course including theory and practical training, as well as the expert instruction offered, greatly enhanced the trainees' maintenance credentials for both FOTON Auman and Aumark products.
"This is only the first step towards the introduction of FOTON products to our technicians. There will be a series of advance technical courses in the coming months to ensure that our technicians are well trained on the product," said Mohamed Hubais. "These courses will help them to apply their newfound knowledge on returning to their respective workshops. This will facilitate our desire to provide our valued customers with the best possible after sales service."
The brand's line-up includes four of their leading models - the Tunland pick-up, the View C passenger van and the Aumark and Auman light and medium commercial trucks. All vehicles are built to GCC standards and are more than capable of handling the harshest of working environments with ease. The global quality standards and high-reliability perfectly meet the needs of the Omani market.
Customers are also invited to visit the conveniently located showroom in Athaiba where the FOTON sales team will be on hand to offer any advice or assistance required.
